We Open-Sourced Our Outbound Writing Skills

Most AI outbound tools hand you a subscription and a blank template. The skills do nothing for the part that matters: writing that lands. We decided to fix the wrong side — so we open-sourced the writing layer.

veneris-ai/outbound-skills is an MIT-licensed bundle of six agentskills.io-compliant Claude Code and Codex bundles that handle cold-email subject lines, sequenced outreach, humanization, reply-intent classification, ICP discipline, and LinkedIn direct-message outbound. It's the writing doctrine we run managed, packaged openly.

Why open it at all

Vendor skills arrive locked to a paid sender. Ours don't. They work with Smartlead, Lemlist, Instantly, or your own provider — paste mode by design, degradation is graceful. The only thing we sell against is the quality of what your current tooling hears as good copy.

What makes it different

Three gates before anything ships: can you visualise the claim, can someone falsify it, and can nobody else write the same sentence? The third is the entire game against both B2B filter-learned patterns and generative slop. Anyone can avoid slop; very few do.

A skill also refuses to pretend good outreach is a template-rotation problem. It isn't. It's a discipline of choosing constraints: pattern-breaking openers, conditions not CTAs, signal-over-fact. The discipline is what makes it AI-agent durable.

The open bundle is genuinely useful on its own — MIT, no key required. The optional gateway API (live signal research, deliverability telemetry, reply classification) is metered. The skills are the thin layer; the engine underneath is what we build for clients.
